Putting aside that other major 'Walking Dead' news of the day, it seems the AMC horror drama has some surprises of its own in store for season 4. Following a suggestive casting announcement that previewed three major comic characters soon to join the cast, 'Twilight' star Christian Serratos has been announced to play comic character Rosita Espinosa! So, how will we meet the character, you ask?

According to Deadline's report breaking the casting, Serratos will appear in a recurring capacity over the course of season 4, with the potential to join the cast as a regular in season 5. Details are light surrounding the character for the moment, considering how AMC tends to tweak its source material (see: Bob Stookey), though Rosita will most likely appear with her two comic companions in tow, burly military man Sgt. Abraham Ford, and secretive brainiac Eugene Porter.

While we await the latest details from ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4, the next run of the AMC horror-drama will introduce ‘The Wire’ star Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. as comic character Bob Stookey, and upgrade actors Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney to series regulars. David Morrissey's villainous Governor will also return in season 4 as a series regular, though beyond this season his involvement seems unlikely.

Announcements of more comic character castings are sure to follow, but in the meantime, what say you? Are you excited to learn what Rosita's casting brings to 'The Walking Dead' season 4? Watch the latest preview below, and give us your predictions for the October 13 premiere in the comments!
