While we'll settle for 'Breaking Bad' ripping out our insides for the next few weeks, it's just a matter of time before 'The Walking Dead' season 4 returns on October 13 to finish the job. Two new promos for the AMC monster hit drama have staggered their way out of the gate, and it looks like producers weren't kidding about the walkers returning to the spotlight as a major threat in season 4.

The first spot for 'The Walking Dead' season 4 sees Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese and Bob Stookey trapped in a tense car battle, but even Daryl looks a bit nervous as to how they might get out of such a tight spot. Might the archer assassin be in for a big bite himself this year? Meanwhile, the second spot teases that the walkers themselves will play a huge part in driving up stakes, making their way into the prison as they congregate outside its walls in increased numbers.

While we await the latest details from ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4, the next run of the AMC horror-drama will introduce ‘The Wire’ star Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. as comic character Bob Stookey, and upgrade actors Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney to series regulars. The series is confirmed to have begun casting three new roles exceptionally familiar to comic fans, while David Morrissey will also return in season 4 as a series regular, though beyond this season his involvement seems unlikely.

We're just weeks away from 'The Walking Dead' season 4, but what say you? Do you think the walkers have grown more dangerous on their own, or has someone been sabotaging Rick's group from within? Watch the new spots above and below, and give us your predictions for the October 13 premiere in the comments!
