We’ve known for a few weeks now that ‘Agent Carter’ would put in another ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ appearance with this coming Tuesday’s “The Things We Bury,” but now we learn that Hayley Atwell’s Peggy will get to take a crack at none other than Hydra’s Daniel Whitehall. See what extraterrestrial MCU connections Peggy uncovers in the latest clip from next week’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’!

Courtesy of IGN, the latest look at next week’s “The Things We Bury” sees Peggy back on duty at the SSR, interrogating Herr Reinhardt (Reed Diamond) after his capture in season premiere "Shadows." We’re no closer to learning how Reinhardt managed to survive to the present day in the curiously unaged identity of Daniel Whitehall, but the Hydra leader has more tantalizing secrets to tease, warning Peggy about “visitors” from long ago who wanted to conquer our planet.

From ABC’s official “The Things We Bury” press release:

Peggy Carter returns to “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” with a special guest appearance in the second season’s eighth episode, plus Grant Ward and his Senator brother “enjoy” a family reunion!

“The Things We Bury” - Coulson and team find themselves in an epic face-off against Hydra to uncover an ancient secret, while Ward kidnaps his brother, Senator Christian Ward, for a violent trip down memory lane, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Tuesday, November 18 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Britt as Agent Antoine Triplett, Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie, Reed Diamond as Daniel Whitehall/Werner Reinhardt, Tim Dekay as Senator Christian Ward, Kyle MacLachlan as The Doctor, Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, Simon Kassianides as Sunil Bakshi, Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Agent Hauer, Al Coronel as Agent Rivera, Dichen Lachman as young woman, Eijiro Ozaki as prisoner, Alexander Leeb as scientist and Willem Van Der Vegt as officer.

We may yet see Peggy again before ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ comes to a midseason close and introduces the ‘Agent Carter’ series in 2015, but in the meantime, what do you think? Could “The Things We Bury” build upon the seemingly inhuman revelations of this past week’s episode to expand upon the Kree? Check out a first look at ‘Agent Carter’’s return above, and give us your 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' predictions in the comments!
