American Horror Story may lose more than a few regular stars in Season 5, but the Hotel won’t lack for familiar faces. Following Matt Bomer’s check-in, fellow Freak Show guest star Wes Bentley has officially signed on as a Season 5 regular of FX’s American Horror Story.

As tends to be the case with Horror Story castings, series creator Ryan Murphy himself announced the news over Twitter, placing Interstellar and his own Open star among a cast that thus far includes Lady Gaga, Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson. Bentley also guested in this past season’s Freak Show as the two-faced Edward Mordrake, an admittedly unusual fit for the season’s less supernatural bent.

FX boss John Landgraf previously described American Horror Story Season 5 as an “unusually large reinvention” of the series, while Jessica Lange formally confirmed her exit, and series stars Sarah Paulson and Denis O’Hare gave a more optimistic outlook on appearances, and X-Men: Apocalypse star Evan Peters’ participation also remains in question.

Just how large a shakeup American Horror Story: Hotel has will remain to be seen, but is the Season 5 cast shaping up, with Wes Bentley as a regular?
