After the surprise announcement of Lady Gaga herself joining American Horror Story for its fifth season, Hotel, the rooms are booking up fast. Not only has Freak Show guest star Matt Bomer joined the cast, but so too has a 30 Rock alum booked a stay in the fifth cycle of Ryan Murphy’s FX horror thriller.

American Horror Story announced cast additions Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson during the show’s PaleyFest event, though as with Lady Gaga, no details of their role are yet known. In addition to his brief Freak Show appearance, Bomer won an Emmy with Ryan Murphy for HBO’s The Normal Heart, while Jackson previously guested on a number of Glee episodes.

FX boss John Landgraf previously described American Horror Story Season 5 as an “unusually large reinvention“ of the series, while Jessica Lange has deemed it unlikely she’d return for a fifth season. Fellow series lead Sarah Paulson will likely end up preoccupied by her role in Murphy’s other project, American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, while X-Men: Apocalypse star Evan Peters’ participation also remains in question.

We’ve yet to get a handle on American Horror Story: Hotel, even with such solid additions as Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson, but what might the fifth season look like by the time AHS again opens for business this fall?
