The CW has a history of pushing series past the point of its leads’ willingness to stay, but could Arrow be Arrow without Stephen Amell? Likely not, but don’t worry - the actor has debunked a ridiculous rumor with details of his own contract, while new set photos might reveal a critical plot point for the upcoming 2016 return.

Ever one to shut down hearsay, Amell took to Facebook to address some bogus headlines of late, suggesting he might leave Arrow after a fifth season, and stranger still, to join Supernatural (h/t ComicBook.com). Not having any of that, the Arrow star surprisingly revealed that his Oliver Queen contract extends through at least 2019, even if perhaps Arrow itself didn’t run that long:

Its future reasonably secure, what of the Arrow present? Jump off here to avoid some MAJOR SPOILERS for the 2016 return, but Felicity Smoak, it seems, does not have so obscure a fate as Glenn, or Jon Snow. Even as the most recent Arrow trailer confirmed that Oliver Queen’s partner and love interest survived the immediate aftermath of the 2015 cliffhanger, new set photos seemingly confirm the character (at least temporarily) bound to a wheelchair, a la Barbara Gordon.

So reads the official synopsis for January 20 return “Blood Debts”:

THE AFTERMATH — Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the devastating consequences of Darhk’s (guest star Neal McDonough) last attack. Seeking revenge, Oliver goes on a brutal manhunt looking for Dahrk.

Well, can we finally put (ridiculous) rumors of Amell’s exit behind us? Does Arrow really intend to go full Oracle on Felicity? Stay tuned for the latest on its Season 4 return!
