TV seems never to be down and out these days, as where FOX and NBC have dusted off '24' and 'Heroes' respectively, now HBO is reaching into its own past to return Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's 'Project Greenlight' series after 13 years off the air. That said, will anything be different about the document series in its new iteration, and will Affleck and Damon return?

According to Deadline, Affleck and Damon will indeed return for a new season of 'Project Greenlight,' to be joined by Adaptive Studios’ Marc Joubert, TJ Barrack, Perrin Chiles and Marshall Lewy, along with Miramax’s Zanne Devine. For those unfamiliar with the concept, 2001's 'Project Greenlight' followed a fledgling director through a digital competition, into pre-production, casting, principal photography and post-production, wherein a team of industry professionals aid the director in producing his first-time movie to completion.

Previous seasons oversaw such films as Shia LaBeouf's 'The Battle of Shaker Heights,' and Jason Mewes-starring 'Feast.' Meanwhile, here's what Affleck had to say of the series' return:

Project Greenlight was ahead of its time. Now that technology has caught up to the concept, we thought it was a perfect time to bring it back. A whole new generation of filmmakers has grown up sharing everything, and the next big director could be just an upload away.

Adds Damon:

Project Greenlight works — careers have been launched and sustained as a direct result of this contest. Pete Jones, John Gulager, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan are just a few of the PGL alums who’ve gone on to do great things in Hollywood, and Ben and I are really proud of that.

No exact timetable was given for the 'Project Greenlight' return, but what say you? Would you be interested to see Matt Damon and Ben Affleck once again shepherding the next great film talent through their first movie production?
