It was only a matter of time before 'Community' promos started getting the attention they deserve from NBC, and cashing in on series star Alison Brie's dual roles. So while the Greendale gang nails 'Mad Men''s maddening promo style in the latest look at season 5, why has our beloved Alison been reduced to so little screen time?

Under-utilization of Alison "I will destroy you!" Brie not withstanding, the newest 'Community' season 5 promo perfectly captures the absurd non-sequitur style AMC's 'Mad Men' promos have become known for, showing ample footage and dialogue out of context, with no clear sense of direction. We suddenly find ourselves at a loss to contemplate how the myriad of season 5 guest stars lack any notable 'Mad Men' stars, but still, there are plenty of fresh faces in the new footage.

In addition to ‘Arrested Development‘ star David Cross‘ guest turn as the onscreen son of Jonathan Banks, ‘Community’ season 5 will also see ‘Arrested’ creator Mitch Hurwitz guesting as a popular Greendale student, ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan as “a smooth-talking gold digger,” Nathan Fillion guest starring as a mysterious janitor, ‘Justified”s Walton Goggins as a private investigator, Chris Elliott as Greendale’s estranged founder, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim as associates of Dean Pelton, along with returns from Rob Corddry, Brie Larson, LeVar Burton and John Oliver’s Professor Duncan.

Double down on a scotch, and watch 'Community' go 'Mad Men' in the latest season 5 promo above? Will you tune in for 'Community''s January 2 double premiere, which has a much healthier showing from Alison Brie, we might add?
