Time will tell if 'Community' season 5 paves the way for a sixth season and the oft-discussed movie, but if the next run proves to be the last for the Greendale gang, we've at least gone out swinging. The newest run of 'Community' has released a full-length movie-style trailer for Mr. Winger's return, but will 'Community''s "do-over" make the grade?

While Abed jokingly references the ninth season of 'Scrubs' in Jeff's Greendale return as a teacher, we have much higher hopes for series creator Dan Harmon's apparent return to form by the new trailer. We also get a taste of exactly what brings Jeff back into the fold, having apparently squandered his degree and fortune establishing his own practice with a hokey superhero commercial.

In addition to ‘Arrested Development‘ star David Cross‘ guest turn as the onscreen son of Jonathan Banks, ‘Community’ season 5 will also see ‘Arrested’ creator Mitch Hurwitz guesting as a popular Greendale student, ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan as “a smooth-talking gold digger,” Nathan Fillion guest starring as a mysterious janitor, ‘Justified”s Walton Goggins as a private investigator, Chris Elliott as Greendale's estranged founder, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim as associates of Dean Pelton, along with returns from Brie Larson, LeVar Burton, Rob Corddry and John Oliver’s Professor Duncan.

The latest trailer (via Entertainment Weekly) has us more exciyted than ever for the January 2 premiere, so check out 'Community''s return to the glory days above with a sneak peek of season 5 above!
