Both Arrow and The Flash will marvel at their own magnificence in giving birth to the time-traveling Legends of Tomorrow spinoff, and while the DC drama has plenty of mysteries to unpack, we’re crossing two off the list. Not only do we at last know who Caity Lotz is playing by the show’s first photo, but so too has The CW specified when the Legends of Tomorrow will premiere. No, it’s not tomorrow.

The CW’s official key art (done in a notably similar style to the “Superhero Fight Club”) seems to firmly answer that Lotz will indeed be playing the role of the White Canary, though how that fits with Sara Lance’s fate at the outset of Season 3 is still anyone’s guess. The key art also offers our first look at Doctor Who alum Arthur Darvill as the time-traveling Rip Hunter, as well as Ciara Renee as the Kendra Saunders incarnation of Hawkgirl.

As to the show’s premiere, The CW projects that Legends will debut in either January or February of 2016, and may well see the network juggling three DC shows at once. Interplay between the three series will occur when possible, as CW boss Mark Pedowitz says “We’ll have crossovers as we can acquire them.”

So reads the Legends of Tomorrow synopsis:

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? The cast includes Victor Garber (The Flash); Brandon Routh (Arrow); Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who); Caity Lotz (Arrow); Dominic Purcell (The Flash) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash).

Also seen in the photo are Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), while Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh) remains notably absent.

We might see some kind of video presentation for Legends of Tomorrow later on today, but does the first photo suggest a strong showing for the CW’s third DC drama?
