One year ago, 'Arrow' producers shocked us with news that 'The Flash' would emerge with his own CW series, bring all kinds of superhuman possibilities to the DC TV universe. Now, as 'The Flash' gears up for a Comic-Con 2014 showing and its fall premiere, the metahumans are coming out of the woodwork, first among them 'Prison Break' alum Wentworth Miller portraying DC's Leonard Snart, better known as the villainous Captain Cold!

'The Flash' producers announced the news from the ongoing TCA press tour panel, clarifying that Miller would appear in the series' fourth episode. Yet to be seen is if Miller's Leonard Snart will tote the freeze gun his villainous alter-ego Captain Cold is known for, or if his chilly abilities will be modified as one of the "metahumans" the pilot makes clear we'll see popping up.

Greenlit for (at least) 13 episodes, ‘The Flash’ also boasts among its cast Tom Cavanaugh’s Dr. Harrison Wells, Candice Batton's Iris West, Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow and Carlos Valdes’ Cisco RamonJesse L. Martin’s Detective West, ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ star Rick Cosnett as Central City Police transfer Detective Eddie Thawne, and original ‘Flash’ star John Wesley Shipp as Barry’s father Henry Allen. 'Arrow' star Stephen Amell's cousin Robbie has also signed on to play an incarnation of DC superhero Firestorm.
