'Dexter's' eighth and final season will kick off June 30, beginning a final bloody chapter that could end with its titular character and supporting cast in any number of positions, either behind bars or underground. Deb in particular seems to have fallen the farthest after learning her brother's secret, but how far will things really go? And what could bring back Yvonne Strahovski's Hannah? Find out from Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall inside!

Arguably the most recent seasons of 'Dexter' have given more transformation to Jennifer Carpenter's Deb than the titular character himself, and the eighth and final season shows no signs of stopping the foul-mouthed Miami Metro vet's downward spiral. We've seen from the recent trailers that Deb has picked up quite a few new vices since her shocking act at the end of season 7 finale "Surprise, Motherf---er," but how far has she really fallen when season 8 begins on June 30?

Series star and executive producer Michael C. Hall recently opened up to TVGuide about Deb's freefall in the final season, in particular that the premiere sees Deb in a much different career than we're used to.

"Things are strange," Hall ominously reports. "Deb left the police department, and she's not in a good place. Dexter feels a sense of responsibility for what happened and wants to make things right, but they're not exactly connecting." That certainly follows what we've seen from the trailers, where Deb wishes she had shot her murderous brother, rather than the innocent LaGuerta.

Hall also previewed that despite her absence in any of the promotional material, Yvonne Strahovski's Hannah McKay will maintain "a significant role this season," even as an older woman seems to cause the Miami serial killer even more trouble. Charlotte Rampling's neuropsychiatrist character Dr. Evelyn Vogel "has unique insights about who Dexter is. She's spent her life studying him, and those insights might just point us to the end."

‘Dexter’ season 8 will also feature appearances from ‘The Shield’s’ Kenny Johnson, ‘24‘ villain Julian Sands as a wealthy international businessman, ‘One Tree Hill’s’ Bethany Joy Lenz as Dexter’s new neighbor Cassie, ‘Last Resort‘ star Darri Ingolfsson as her antique-dealing love interest, ‘Entourage‘s’ Rhys Coiro as a bail jumper on Deb’s radar, ‘The Walking Dead‘ star Nick Gomez as a hitman that goes up against Deb, and ‘The Boondock Saints’ star Sean Patrick Flanery as ex-cop-turned-private-eye Jacob Elway.
