Not to be outdone by anything happening on HBO last night, be it 'Girls' getting into "Crackcidents" in Brooklyn, 'True Blood' debuting its bloody new trailer, or even 'Game of Thrones' finally bringing war to "Blackwater," showtime has opted to give us our first tantalizing glimpse into the very secretive seventh season of 'Dexter,' premiering Sunday, September 30.  Fans of the show know that season 6 left us on quite a cliffhanger, so how does Dexter Morgan feel about this latest development?

Eschewing any actual footage from the upcoming episodes, the new, very basic tease from 'Dexter' season 7 raises a very curious sentiment.  As the Bay Harbor Butcher's trademark cheek cut forms on a simple background, our hero wonders aloud "maybe everything is exactly how it should be..."  Given that we last saw - SPOILER ALERT - Deb stumbling upon her brother's murderous night-time activities, that paints a rather disturbing picture of how she might take the news, no?

Most of Dexter's seventh outing has been kept under wraps, but we have learned that former 'Luck' star Jason Gedrick will take a role as an owner of a gentleman's club, one which frequently plays host to fellow-cast (and likely major villain) Ray Stevenson, a “high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.”

Most of the casting reports to come out of ‘Dexter’ season 7 have had to do with the Easter European mafia, but there's also the casting of “Hannah,” a major new female character for the upcoming season, a sexy and dangerous “force of nature” with a dark past and a likelihood of recurring into the eighth (and presumably) final season.

Check out the bloody new teaser for 'Dexter' season 7 below, and give us your theories on what Deb will do in the comments!
