‘Django Unchained’ Lets Loose First Footage
Going by this new footage, it seems that the rumors were true and that the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' will be playing with 'Prometheus.' But if you don't want to wait until Friday, there's some footage online now, and it seems likely we'll get the full trailer tomorrow.
This offers the first glimpses of Leonardo DiCaprio in action, along with Christoph Waltz and Jamie Foxx. Because it's from 'Entertainment Tonight,' they seem to be playing up DiCaprio as he is the biggest name involved. It's hard to tell from this trailer for a trailer if we'll see more of the supporting cast (which includes Walton Goggins, Kerry Washington, Don Johnson, RZA, Franco Nero and Samuel L. Jackson to name a few), but from this teensy bit of footage, color us excited.
The film doesn't hit theaters until Christmas Day 2012, sadly, but last we heard they were just finishing up shooting. It's worth noting that Fred Raskin is the editor - who was an assistant editor on previous Tarantino films - and is replacing Tarantino's late and longtime editor Sally Menke. Raskin also cut the last three 'Fast and Furious movies,' if that gives him some better credentials.
