We won’t see The Flash Season 2 or Arrow Season 4 until early October, but both Central and Star City have had plenty to highlight of their heroes’ return over the last weeks. Now, both Barry and Oliver have official premiere synopses for “The Man Who Saved Central City” and “Green Arrow,” so what super-drama can we expect this fall?

For as much as we know of The Flash Season 2, the CW’s premiere synopsis of “The Man Who Saved Central City” highlights that Barry seems to have taken Eddie’s death rather hard, pushing away the rest of the team until a new threat arises:

BARRY DECIDES HE NEEDS TO PROTECT THE CITY ON HIS OWN

Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (guest star Adam Copeland) attacks the city, Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helps Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force.

Oliver isn’t faring much better at keeping loved ones out of danger, as the October 7 Arrow premiere will see the team dragging he and Felicity back to Star City to take on Damien Darhk’s “Ghosts.” Well, everyone but Diggle, anyway:

MY NAME IS THE GREEN ARROW

Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) blissful getaway is cut short when Thea (Willa Holland) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) pay them a visit and tell Oliver they need his help back in Star City. The city has been attacked by “Ghosts,” assassins led by a dangerous man named Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). However, when Oliver returns, Diggle (David Ramsey) makes it very clear that he doesn’t want Oliver on the team.

There’s plenty more to come for both The Flash Season 2 and Arrow Season 4, but which CW hero has the most exciting premiere in October?
