In one of Dennis Hopper's most upsetting (in a good way!) roles, he starred as the sexually abusive, short-fused criminal Frank Booth in David Lynch's 'Blue Velvet.' There are smart bad guys, and quiet bad guys, and big, dumb bad guys, and then there are bad guys like Frank Booth who are made up purely of Id -- the irrational desires at the core of our subconscious that, unchecked, result in nightmare human beings like Frank here.
