Just the other day, it was revealed that Jennifer Lawrence has met with Paul Feig, the director of the upcoming all-female ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot. Rebel Wilson also admitted to meeting with her ‘Bridesmaids’ director about the film. And now, thanks to another report on the hacked e-mails from Sony, we know that the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot has attracted interest from even more talented women: Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy, Lizzy Caplan, and Amy Schumer all want in on this exciting new project.

The Daily Beast uncovered a whole lot of information from those hacked Sony e-mail exchanges, including details on George Clooney and Oliver Stone’s new films, the ‘Star Wars’ franchise plans over at Disney, their concerns over ‘The Interview,’ and a potential legal squabble with original ‘Ghostbusters’ star Bill Murray.

It’s a huge info dump, but the report also features an e-mail from Amy Pascal, the co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, to original ‘Ghostbusters’ director and producer Ivan Reitman, concerning casting for the upcoming all-female reboot. As it turns out, Jennifer Lawrence and Rebel Wilson aren’t the only talented women who want to star in the film:

Agree that everyone is way too nervous about how this issue and how we. present it but it’s isn’t a sequel to the 80s movies and it is gonna be totally original with completely different characters and our job is to find a clever way to connect the movie to the original franchise so that we can use all the assets and everything that is great about the original franchise. Paul’s movie is gonna be the first one and from what I’m hearing jennifer lawrence and Emma stone and Melissa McCarthy and Amy schumer and liszzy [Lizzy] Kaplan just to name a few have already said thy wanted to be in....

Aside from the glaring typos in the e-mail, that’s a pretty interesting bit of information. I imagine that the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot is going to attract even more talented women than the ones named above. I included Amy Schumer on my fantasy cast list a few months ago, and Melissa McCarthy seems like an obvious choice, given that she’s worked with Feig previously on ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘The Heat,’ and stars in his upcoming ‘Spy’ movie.

McCarthy and Stone were two of the actresses Bill Murray said he’d like to see in the reboot, but it’ll probably be a little while longer before we hear something official about the film’s cast, given that Feig is preparing to release ‘Spy’ next May. What do you guys think? Would you like to see these women in the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot, or do you have some suggestions of your own?
