‘Gotham’ Shapes its First Look at Clayface From ‘A Legion of Horribles’
It’s safe to say that Gotham has been playing on a different field of late, when the same episode can see Hugo Strange sending Mr. Freeze after a mutant claw girl created in part by Thomas Wayne, and now another villain has arrived to dispense some wrath. Or … rise. Whatever Gotham villains are doing with subtitles these days. Anyway, here’s Clayface!
Gotham released the first photos from May 16 outing “A Legion of Horribles,” featuring actor Brian McManamon in the role of Batman character Basil Karlo, one of many to bear the moniker of Clayface in comic canon. The comic version appeared in 1940 as a disgruntled actor killing off the cast of a movie remaking his greatest hit without him, before gaining actual shape-shifting powers in a 1989 story.
The episode in question will also see Jada Pinkett Smith’s Fish Mooney return, while the full “Legion of Horribles” press release reads:
Hugo Strange welcomes a familiar face to GOTHAM after he resurrects Fish Mooney in Indian Hill. Later, Bruce discovers a friend is in danger and teams up with Gordon, Alfred and Lucius, while uncovering more of Strange’s experiments in the all-new “Wrath of the Villains: A Legion of Horribles” episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, May 16.
In the meantime, Gotham Season 2 will continue this coming Monday.
