‘Gotham’ Season 3’s Mad Hatter Looks … Pretty Much Like a Dude in a Hat
FOX’s Gotham hasn’t descended into all-out costumed superheroes and villains just yet, but the more sensibly-dressed Batman characters usually get their due. As such, our first look at Walking Dead star Benedict Samuel as Gotham’s Mad Hatter looks … well, how would you expect a guy with a top hat to look?
Entertainment Weekly debuted the first look at Jervis Tetch, who debuts in the third hour of the new season this fall. Gotham’s take is described as a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness, with an unwavering desire to find his sister – wait for it – Alice, who went missing years earlier. “It is anyone’s guess just how far down the rabbit hole he’s willing to go in order to find her.”
Elsewhere, Season 3 will also introduce us to Tweedle brothers, the Court of Owls, Maggie Geha’s questionably aged-up Poison Ivy, Jamie Chung’s Valerie Vale, a returning Fish Mooney and other monsters, along with a more true-to-comics Solomon Grundy than Arrow offered. Lest we forget, a certain laughing madman made a distinctly audible return in the Season 2 finale, and will likely resurface as well.
We’ll learn more of Gotham Season 3 in the coming weeks, but what do we make of the latest look? Check out the first trailers below.
