In the first 'Horrible Bosses' film, the team of Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day faced down a trio of awful employers and rode the box office to the tune of $117 million. Since those bosses were played by Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell, the upcoming 'Horrible Bosses 2' will have to up the ante. With Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine being eyed for the sequel, consider the ante officially upped.

The news comes to us via Deadline, who reports that New Line wants the 'Django Unchained' and 'Star Trek Into Darkness' stars to join the film as a father-son boss duo. The same report also says that Waltz's busy schedule makes his involvement unlikely but that Pine is readily available if things go according to plan. We can't help but hope things work out, because the thought of Pine playing Waltz's offspring (and possibly sporting a wacky German accent) already makes us giggle a little, mainly because we have the sense of humor of an 8-year-old.

We don't know the details of 'Horrible Bosses 2' yet, but we do know that Bateman, Sudeikis and Day will return and once again face down their evil superiors. The previous film saw the trio agreeing to murder each other's employers (with things going horribly wrong), so we imagine and hope that the sequel will find a new angle rather than pull a 'Hangover Part II' and retell the first movie beat for beat. Then again, a little bit of Christoph Waltz hamming it up can earn a lot of good will.

'Horrible Bosses 2' is set to open on November 26, 2014 and will be directed by Sean Anders.
