Official Logline for Malick’s ‘Lawless’ Wants You to Know It’s Sexy

Little has been revealed about Terrence Malick's film 'Lawless,' other than its stellar lineup of stars, including Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale, and Natalie Portman. But now we have an official logline, detailing the film as a tale of "two intersecting love triangles. It is a story of sexual obsession and betrayal set against the music scene in Austin, Texas."

Someone please inform Mr. Malick that any film starring Ryan Gosling is a story of sexual obsession, and yes, betrayal when you realize that no, Mr. Gosling will not be going home with you when you leave the theater.

Malick began pre-production on the film in the fall, shooting Christian Bale during Austin City Limits and returning to shoot Mara and Gosling during Fun Fun Fun Fest. The director is set to begin filming 'Knight of Cups' this summer, and will presumably return to Austin in the fall to begin full production on 'Lawless.'
