We still have a few more films left before Marvel’s Phase 4 begins. Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, and Avengers 4 will close out the third phase of the MCU before Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 kicks off the next iteration. But Marvel boss Kevin Feige has shared a few more hints on what to expect from Phase 4, namely the studio’s plans to hire female directors and confirmation of that Ms. Marvel movie.

Next year’s Captain Marvel will be the first MCU film directed (er, co-directed) by a woman, with Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck at the helm. But during a panel at the PGA’s Produced By conference this week, via Deadline, Feige said Phase 4 will include many more female directors. “I cannot promise that all 20 Marvel movies will have female directors but a heck of a lot of them will,” Feige said. He added that agencies have been sending the studio more women directors than men of late. That director news is especially exciting to hear considering Marvel plans to bring another female superhero into the mix, and a woman of color.

Feige said at the conference that Phase 4 will incluse “different incarnations of characters we know,” and one of those will be a superhero inspired by Carol Danvers. Last month, Feige hinted at the studio’s plans to make a movie about Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan. Not to be confused with Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel, Khan is a Pakistani-America teen in the comics, as well as the first Muslim character to headline her own Marvel comic, who became a superhero after being inspired by her idol, Danvers. During the PGA conference this week, Feige further confirmed those plans saying a Ms. Marvel movie is definitely in the works, according to The Playlist, but Larson’s movie had to come first. “We wanted to get Captain Marvel out there first so that there is something for a young Muslim girl to get inspired by,” he said.

Until then, Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, 2019.
