‘Sharknado’ Faces ‘Global Swarming’ as 5th Film Announces Cameos
Global Warming remains a very real threat to the world, but minor bright side – we don’t have flying sharks to deal with (yet). Not so for Sharknado, which winds into a fifth movie with a new Global Swarming subtitle, and a list of cameos from Fabio, to Tony Hawk, Kathy Lee Gifford and even a Game of Thrones White Walker.
Where previously Sharknado took on The Fourth Awakens, this time will up the international ante with Global Swarming, and the layered tagline of “Make America Bait Again.” The August 6 premiere will again feature Ian Ziering and Tara Reid back in their roles, while the full synopsis reads:
In SHARKNADO 5: GLOBAL SWARMING, the mission gets personal for Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his bionic wife, April (Tara Reid) when their young son gets trapped in a traveling ‘nado and transported all over the world. From London to Rio, Tokyo, Rome, Amsterdam and beyond, our globetrotting heroes will seek assistance from a highly-skilled squad of royals, scholars and Olympians, enlisting famous faces from news, entertainment, and sports in their most epic battle yet.
Here’s the full roster of cameos, which includes Fabio as the Pope (!!!):
