The summer of 2015 has afforded far too many absurd and newsworthy sagas for SNL to sit out, and Season 41 is already exploding off the bench. Not only will Miley Cyrus host the October premiere, but SNL will follow up with Amy Schumer, and a momentous return for alumni Tracy Morgan.

A somewhat later debut than in recent years (though not without precedent), SNL will return on October 3 with Miley Cyrus taking the stage, though unclear is if the singer will also act as the musical guest, as in her 2013 appearance. October 10 will see Trainwreck star Amy Schumer take the stage for her first hosting (many expected Schumer for the premiere, given the summer she’s had), while October 17 will see Tracy Morgan returning to SNL for his second hosting gig, following a 2009 turn with Kelly Clarkson.

Morgan’s return is also notable as the legendary comedian’s first major gig after the June 2014 highway accident that led to serious injuries for the 30 Rock star, as well as the death of fellow comedian and Morgan’s friend James McNair. Morgan has made several public appearances in recent months, though no word was given on a return to performing.

SNL has yet to spell out musical guests for either of the three, but will Season 41 get off to a strong start with Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer and Tracy Morgan? Who else might we expect, as the season rolls on?
