The Flash won’t formally return until St. Patrick’s Day, of all days, but Barry Allen may run “Out of Time” even sooner. The Bringer of Rain lives anew as Spartacus star Liam McIntyre conjures up our new Weather Wizard in the full set of photos from The Flash’s March 17 return.

Whereas the official trailer focused mostly on Harrison Wells Reverse-ing course with the team, our latest look at March 17 installment “Out of Time” sees Barry and Linda on a double date with Iris and Eddie, while Joe and the other cops contend with the return of Mark Mardon (McIntyre), demonstrating similar abilities to his brother Clive from the series’ pilot. If you’re keeping score, Mardon’s return means that neither brother’s body was recovered from the plane crash, something the Central City Police Department’s official report apparently chalked up to “eh.”

So reads The Flash’s formal description of “Out of Time”:

LIAM MCINTYRE GUEST STARS AS THE WEATHER WIZARD; CISCO REALIZES DR. WELLS IS HIDING SOMETHING

Mark Mardon aka The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) appears in Central City intent on avenging his brother Clyde’s death, and sets his sights on Joe (Jesse L. Martin), who shot Clyde. When Mardon attacks Joe and Barry (Grant Gustin), Barry is able to super-speed them to safety but Mardon gets away. Barry warns Joe not to go after a meta-human alone but Joe doesn’t listen and ends up in grave danger.

Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) looks into the night the team captured the Reverse Flash and realizes something doesn’t add up and begins to wonder whether Joe was right about Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Barry and Linda (guest star Malese Jow) end up on an awkward double date with Eddie (Rick Cosnett) and Iris (Candice Patton).

Barry Allen will have plenty on his plate beyond Weather Wizards as well, the coming weeks to feature time-travel, Tricksters, Rogues and Bug-Eyed Bandits, to name a few. In the meantime, watch The Flash run “Out of Time” in the photos above, and stay tuned for the latest on the March 17 return!
