Fans of Nickelodeon's 'The Legend of Korra' are still reeling from Book 3's incredible finale "Venom of the Red Lotus," having premiered only weeks ago, and the hits just keep on coming. Where previous years have seen only one season airing at a time, we've learned that Book 4: "Balance" will premiere on Nickelodeon's website as early as October 2014!

Per series creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino in a new video, 'The Legend of Korra' season 4 will debut Book 4: "Balance" with premiere "The Calling" on Friday, October 3, while new episodes will show up on Nick.com and the Nick app each subsequent Friday. Suffice to say, it's a little quick.

Many fans of the 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' sequel series will remember that multiple leaks prompted Nickelodeon to premiere 'The Legend of Korra' Book 3 earlier than intended, with the inherent lack of promotion visibly impacting the show's ratings. The network eventually moved the series online entirely, causing many to fear cancellation, though the show creators assured fans at Comic-Con 2014 that Book 4 remained in the works, and that 'Korra' held a stronger online presence anyway.

When we spoke to cast members Janet Varney (Korra) and David Faustino (Mako) in July, both had long since completed recording on season 4, a by-product of the show's lengthy production time. It's difficult to read Nickelodeon's intentions in premiering Book 4 so quickly after the third, given its inherent streaming controversy, but we imagine New York Comic-Con 2014 will at least field some answers on the subject, if not before.

Well, what do you think? Does 'The Legend of Korra' Book 4's early release bode ill for the future of the series? Will "Balance" restore its namesake, and if so, what do you want to see from the October 3 premiere, "The Calling"?
