
Where Movie Prices Could Go After the $50 Mega Ticket
In an attempt to capitalize on the moment before the fervor of fandom surrounding 'World War Z' began to fizzle out, Regal Cinemas offered a $50 "megaticket" that included a digital copy of the movie, a poster, a small popcorn and a pair of 'World War Z' 3D glasses, in addition to admission to the movie. Yup -- $50 to see a Brad Pitt movie.
The scariest part? They didn't act like this was completely ridiculous. If somebody can charge $50 for a movie without batting an eye, then what comes next?
