'X-Men: Days of Future Past' may already be deep into filming, but that doesn't mean they won't continue to cast new actors. The latest inductee to the already massive ensemble is Australian actor Josh Helman, whose role is being kept under wraps ... but we have a pretty solid guess as to who he is playing.

The news comes from The Wrap, who also report that Helman's role will require several weeks of filming, meaning that this isn't a small part. So, who could the on-the-rise Australian actor be playing? Is he playing a brand-new character or an established X-Man?

Well, considering that the film deals with time travel and appears to be acting as a soft reboot of the 'X-Men' movies in general, we think -- and, again, we're totally guessing here -- he may be playing a young Cyclops. Just look at that face ...

Think about it! Not only does Helman look enough like James Marsden to make it believable, but it makes a lot of sense that Fox would want to bring back one of the most popular and recognizable X-Men characters bak from the dead. Considering how badly the original three films abused the character (he even died poorly in 'X-Men: The Last Stand'), it would be nice to see Cyclops play a better and significant role in the films moving forward.

But all of that is just us geeking out a bit. We're only throwing it out there because, at the moment, we know absolutely nothing about what part he'll play. None. If we're right, hooray for us! If we're wrong, eh.

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is rescheduled to hit theaters on May 23, 2014. If you want to catch a glimpse of Helman, go check out HBO's 'The Pacific' or the woefully underlooked 'Jack Reacher.' He also has a role in the upcoming 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' in which 'X-Men' star Nichols Hoult also stars.
