The big buzz of network TV might be the talk of the town for the next few weeks, but 'Glee' and 'The New Normal' (ouch) creator Ryan Murphy's cable effort has some major news of its own. Find out who the stars will scare up for 'American Horror Story: Coven' inside!

Every year Ryan Murphy's FX horror drama 'American Horror Story' seems to grow bigger, and the upcoming 'Coven' has proven no different. Via Ryan Murphy's Twitter, we've learned the most recent additions to the the cast will include Angela Bassett ('Green Lantern') and Tony award-winning Broadway star (and 'The Big Bang Theory' mom) Patti LuPone! Of course, Murphy provided no details of either star's character, but pretty cool nonetheless!

Bassett and LuPone join Sidibe joins ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ newcomers Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates,’ along with returning franchise regulars Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson. Murphy revealed only select details of the FX drama’s third season, including that ‘Coven’ will have a love story focus akin to the one between Violet (Farmiga) and Tate (Peters) in season 1. The third outing will be set in the modern day across several cities, primarily New Orleans, occasionally dipping back into the past as the narrative requires.
