There is no combination of the phrases “James Franco,” “time travel,” “save JFK,” or “Hulu” that fails to amuse, and yet, J.J. Abrams and Stephen King have gone ahead and given it their darnest. Fresh from Saturday’s TCA panel, Hulu debuted a full trailer from its upcoming adaptation of 11.22.63, following a first teaser and earlier photos from the Abrams-King period piece.There’s terrible goatees, history lessons, CIA conspiracies, action, romance, and even a startling amount of cockroaches! What’s not to love?

For those unaware, Hulu’s 11.22.63 follows high school English teacher Jake Epping (Franco) as he travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, only to find his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love, and a past that doesn’t want to be changed.

The series also stars Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay and Daniel Webber. Based upon the New York Times best-selling 2011 novel by Stephen King, the eight-part event series will officially premiere on Hulu this coming Presidents Day, February 15, 2016. J.J. Abrams, Stephen King, and more executive produce, with Kevin Macdonald directing and producing the first two hours.
