Which, of course, is actually before the present day of X-Men: Days of Future Past in 2014 (the movie instead travels to 2023). There's one mutant in this X-Men film that you probably don't remember from the comics: President John F. Kennedy. According to the film, the 35th President of the United States was actually a mutant whose power was “telepathic persuasion”. (The film also posits that Magneto was the one responsible for JFK’s assassination.)
