‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Guards the Galaxy in First Season 5 Poster
Sure, Marvel will take us to the moon this very Friday with The Inhumans, but who needs ‘em? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are waiting in the wings with Season 5, and they’re heading deeper into space by our first look at the new poster.
Entertainment Weekly shared the first official key art for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5, which picks up from that galactic Season 4 cliffhanger of Coulson seemingly captive on a space station of sorts. The poster doesn’t necessarily unravel that mystery, but the presence of a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on the craft could imply a secret, off-world branch of the Marvel organization (fans have speculated the comic S.W.O.R.D.):
Elsewhere, relatively few details of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 are known, other than the return of Nick Blood as Lance Hunter. The series will move to Friday nights for a largely uninterrupted run, once The Inhumans has completed its eight-episode run in the same timeslot.
We’ll surely learn more from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at New York Comic-Con, but is the world ready for COULSON. IN. SPAAAAAAAACE?
