‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Officially Renewed for Season 5 on ABC
Fear not, true believers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have at least one more mission ahead of them. ABC has officially confirmed that the Avengers-adjacent series will return for Season 5 after next Tuesday’s finale.
The official announcement came from the network, though visual effects supervisor Mark Kolpack tweeted out the good news slightly earlier. Unknown for the moment, is if Agents will return for another 22 episodes, or a reduced order, given the presence of Marvel’s The Inhumans in September.
Either way, next week will see Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concluding its fourth season at “World’s End,” as Gabriel Luna’s Ghost Rider returns to take on former LMD Aida. So reads the synopsis:

“World’s End” – With the surprising emergence of Ghost Rider, Coulson and the team attempt to stop Aida from ending the world on the exciting season finale of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, MAY 16 (10:00–11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.
Guest starring are Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider, Mallory Jansen as Aida, Adrian Pasdar as Brigadier General Glenn Talbot, Jordan Rivera as Hope Mackenzie, Patrick Cavanaugh as Burrows, Zach McGowan as The Superior, Joris Jarsky as Sergei, Zibby Allen as Lt. Evans, Joel Stoffer as silhouetted man and Karole Foreman as waitress.
