‘Arrow’ Unmasks First Look at DC Villain Deadshot
While The CW's 'Arrow' is by no means related to the network's earlier superhero drama 'Smallville,' many eyes are going to be on the series for the manner in which it portrays DC characters other than the Green Arrow, given the TV budget and more realistic tone. 'Smallville' once convincingly adapted infamous DC comic villain Deadshot, but how will 'Arrow' offer its own intepretation of the character? Want to see what the 'Arrow's' new menace looks like?
Where earlier we caught a glimpse of what The CW's 'Arrow' interpretation of DC villain China White would look like, now The Huffington Post has exclusive photos of the hero drama's incarnation of classic villain Deadshot. The DC marksman will appear in the third episode of the show's first season, "Lone Gunman," as portrayed by actor Michael Rowe.
Much like 'Smallville's' interpretation of the character, the 'Arrow' version of Deadshot eschews the idea of a full-body costume or mask, but keeps the character's iconic eye-wear. Rowe's Deadshot and Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen will first come to blows on October 24, the third episode of the season.
Elsewhere, ‘Arrow’ features plenty of other comic castings that include The Royal Flush Gang, The Huntress and Deathstroke the Terminator. Additionally, ‘Torchwood’ star John Barrowman was also added to the series in the role of a mysterious billionaire with an equally mysterious agenda.
