Sheesh, we get it already, 'Arrow' takes place in the DC universe!  The CW-adapted Green Arrow drama will roll out only its fifth episode of the inaugural season tonight, and already news has broken that another major DC character will be showing his face in the next few weeks.  Sources say that 'Farscape' and 'Stargate: SG-1' vet Ben Browder will join the series as comic character Ted Gaynor, but when can we expect his first appearance?

Following the announcement of Count Vertigo yesterday, IGN reports that 'Arrow' has added yet another DC character to its ever-growing stable of adaptations.  Former 'Farscape' and 'Stargate: SG-1' (and recent 'Doctor Who') star Ben Browder will play 'Arrow's iteration of Ted Gaynor, Diggle’s commanding officer from his first tour in Afghanistan, now working as a bodyguard for Blackhawk Squad Protection Group in Starling City.

Fans of the comics will note that the DC Gaynor also served as a member of the Blackhawk squad, though it doesn't appear the actual Blackhawk character will feature into 'Arrow's rendition.  Browder will first appear as the character in a 2013 episode of 'Arrow' entitled "Trust But Verify," wherein a series of armored truck robberies plague the city and put Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his new-found partner at odds.

Elsewhere, the first season of The CW’s Green ‘Arrow’ already includes such DC characters as Deathstroke (appearing in tonight's "Damaged"), The Royal Flush Gang, Firefly and The Huntress.  Tell us what other DC characters besides Ted Gaynor should figure into 'Arrow' in the comments!'
