A New ‘Chip ’n’ Dale’ Series Is Coming to Disney’s Streaming Services
The rollout of new Disney shows and films coming to Disney+, the company’s new streaming service that debuts this fall, continued with the announcement (via Variety) that a new version of the classic Disney characters Chip ’n’ Dale will debut there as well. Sadly, there are no Rescue Rangers involved. Yet! Let us cross our fingers the Rescue Rangers eventually join the fun. (Or how about just putting the old episodes of Rescue Rangers on Disney+? That would be a good start.)
Here’s the description of the show, via Variety:
The series’ 39, seven-minute episodes will be produced using traditional animation styles and feature contemporary slap-stick narratives as the furry pair struggle with life in the big city.
Disney also unveiled a logo for the new Monsters Inc. sequel series, Monsters at Work, which will feature the voices of Billy Crystal and John Goodman as Mike and Sulley. Previously announced shows for the service include the first Star Wars live-action TV series, The Mandalorian, TV shows based on Marvel characters Loki, Scarlet Witch and Vision, and the Falcon and Winter Soldier, and the Donald Duck show Legend of the Three Caballeros which previously premiered in a few international territories but has yet to appear in the United States.
Disney+ launches on November 12 and will cost $6.99 a month.
