‘Daredevil’ Season 3 Confirmed at Comic-Con 2016!
Marvel’s Netflix Daredevil first bucked our conceptions of the four Defenders series with a second season, so it’s only fitting ol’ Hornhead continue the trend at Comic-Con 2016. Even as Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders gear up for 2017, Marvel and Netflix confirm Daredevil Season 3 will arrive sometime thereafter.
Amid the flurry of Marvel Netflix news, Luke Cage’s Comic-Con 2016 panel confirmed that Daredevil would indeed return for Season 3, albeit without specifying any details. Netflix released a clever teaser, however, splashing a bit of blood on the New York subway’s 1-2-3 lines running through Hell’s Kitchen.
Granted, Daredevil Season 2 certainly left dangling a number of potential threads for Season 3, between Elektra’s fate, Wilson Fisk or Matt’s relationship with Karen, though the simultaneous Defenders teaser seemed to confirm that Scott Glenn’s Stick and The Hand would play a role in the preceding team-up miniseries. Not only that, but where Jessica Jones Season 2 was said to film back-to-back with The Defenders into 2017, it remains unclear when Daredevil Season 3 would enter production.
We’ve heard Charlie Cox’s thoughts on Daredevil Season 3 before (Bullseye, y’all!), but what should we expect from the Man Without Fear’s third run? Will The Defenders change the status quo in the meantime? Watch the latest teasers below.
