‘Deadpool’ Image Reveals the Place Where Deadpool Gets Some Reading Done
Superheroes: they’re just like us. And to prove that, Ryan Reynolds has released the second official image from the Deadpool solo movie, featuring the Merc With a Mouth taking a little bathroom break. Yes, even Deadpool uses the bathroom. Following news that the film will indeed be rated R, the, um, toilet humor seems pretty appropriate.
The new photo isn’t really that big of a deal, but it is only our second official look at Reynolds in costume as the character — and it’s a funny one, so it’s worth a look for that alone. Deadpool sits on the toilet, reading — what else? — a Deadpool comic:
Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been getting almost-daily updates from the Deadpool solo film, including a bunch of photos from the set featuring Reynolds recreating the scene from last year’s leaked test footage. Just yesterday, we finally learned the identity of Ed Skrein’s character in the film, and as some had been speculating, he is playing Ajax.
Deadpool is being directed by visual effects artist Tim Miller, who previously directed the test footage. The film co-stars T.J. Miller as Weasel, Morena Baccarin as Copycat, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, and newcomer Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
Deadpool arrives in theaters on February 12, 2016.
