Maisie Williams, Kit Harington Hype ‘Game of Thrones’ S7 Getting ‘REAL’
By now, Game of Thrones stars have gotten pretty good at turning the hype machine for upcoming episodes, and Season 7 is no exception. Maisie Williams is already proclaiming Season 7 as the year Game of Thrones “gets REAL,” while poor Kit Harington appears to have been denied scripts. Still exciting, though!
Never one to traffic in hyperbole, the once and future Arya Stark shared over Twitter that her Season 7 reading appears to be going well. Or … at least better than her command of Twitter character limits:
Indeed. meanwhile, Kit Harington offered a more reserved take for The Hollywood Reporter, if not for the fact that no one appears to have given him any scripts yet:
It’s important to stress at this point that I haven’t had any scripts, so this is all guess work for me. I think it’s going to get very bleak before if there is a happy ending. If there’s any sort of win or heroic moment for Jon and everyone else. I think it’s going to get very dark before it gets better. I think what we might see this season is those White Walkers and that Army of the Dead really come into force. So that’s going to be exciting to see. I don’t know what it means. I think with the whole “winter is finally here” business, it means everyone is going to have a really bad time.
In the meantime, HBO has confirmed that Game of Thrones Season 7 will start production on a shortened seven episodes this coming year, with an aim to premiere in Summer 2017. A list of directors for the year has also been announced, along with early casting, while at least a portion of filming will take place in Iceland.
It stands to reason Game of Thrones Season 7 would pack a bit more excitement with a reduced episode order, but feel free to speculate wildly as to what has Maisie Williams so hyped.
