It's been a good long while since we heard anything from 'Girl Meets World,' the spinoff sequel series of sorts to ABC's classic '90's hit, 'Boy Meets World.' Now, the word has finally hit -- Disney Channel has officially decided to take 'Girl Meets World' to series, revealing the first official images in the process!

In addition to the series pickup, the Disney Channel has set a tentative premiere date of 2014, and released both the first logline and images of the series. Are you ready to find out what became of Corey and Topanga now that they've got kids of their own? See for yourself:

Set in New York City, the new comedy series will tell the wonderfully funny, heartfelt stories that Boy Meets World is renowned for — only this time from a tween girl’s perspective — as the curious and bright 7th grader Riley and her quick-witted friend Maya (played by Sabrina Carpenter) embark on an unforgettable middle school experience.  But their plans for a carefree year will be adjusted slightly under the watchful eyes of Riley’s dad who’s also a faculty member — and their new History teacher — and Riley’s mom who owns a trendy afterschool hangout that specializes in pudding.

So far, the series features Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter in the roles of Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley Matthews, and Riley’s Shawn Hunter-esque friend Maya Fox, with Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reprising their roles from the original series. William Daniels (Feenay!) will return for the pilot episode, though it remains to be seen what 'Boy Meets World' alum will make official appearances as time goes on.

What say you? Are you excited to see a new generation of 'Boy Meets World' has officially been ordered to series? What do you want to see from 'Girl Meets World'?
