James Franco Time-Travels to Save JFK in Hulu’s First ‘11.22.63’ Trailer
The mere combinations of “Stephen King,” “James Franco,” “time travel” and “J.J. Abrams” weren’t enough to put you on board with Hulu’s upcoming event series 11.22.63, the first trailer might do the trick. Come, join out beloved Pineapple Express star, as we travel through time to stop the assassination of J.F.K., as only James Franco can do.
Hulu debuted the first official footage from its upcoming adaptation of 11.22.63, following earlier photos from the Abrams-King period piece. For those unaware, Hulu’s 11.22.63 follows high school English teacher Jake Epping (Franco) as he travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, only to find his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love, and a past that doesn’t want to be changed.
The series also stars Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay and Daniel Webber. Based upon the New York Times best-selling 2011 novel by Stephen King, the eight-part event series will officially premiere on Hulu this coming Presidents Day, February 15, 2016. J.J. Abrams, Stephen King, and more executive produce, with Kevin Macdonald directing and producing the first two hours.
