Much as we enjoyed it, this past Tuesday's sophomore outing of Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' "0-8-4" raised an important issue about Agent Coulson's new team, namely that the majority have proven to be fresh-faces youngsters with little training. That all changes with this coming week's "The Asset," as the latest clip shows Ward taking Skye under his wing to train as a field agent, with you guessed it, sexy results!

Having proven so essentially useless last week, Skye bemoans having to train physically for work as a field agent, though Fitz and Simmons endured training every bit as mentally taxing, if not more. Worth nothing is that "The Asset" seems to be leaning less heavily on Ward and Skye as a romantic pairing, at least for now, something we felt to be far too obvious within the first two episodes. So where's the big threat for this week?

From Marvel’s official press description of “The Asset”:

“The Asset” – When the brilliant scientist, Dr. Franklin Hall, is kidnapped, Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents must race against the clock to locate him. Skye is their only way in–pushing the team to their limits when the entire plan turns upside-down.

Guest starring are Ian Hart as Dr. Franklin Hall, David Conrad as Ian Quinn, Josh Cowdery as Agent Tyler, Bodie Newcomb as Agent Mack, Scott Subiono as Todd Chesterfield, Vachik Mangassarian as Qasim Zaghlul, Assaf Cohen as translator, Brandon Molale as Quinn’s main guard.

Well, what do we think? Is 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' moving toward something a bit less youthful, or will Skye and Ward continue the will-they-won't-they? Will Coulson be able handle the gravity of the threat posed next week? Check out the latest from "The Asset" above, tell us in the comments what you want to see from Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."!
