Looks like that bit role in BoJack Horseman Season 1 has finally paid off for Naomi Watts, scoring the actress her very own Netflix drama. Watts will lead 2017 psychological thriller Gypsy as an apparently-terrible therapist, with the first two outings directed by 50 Shades of Grey helmer Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Per Netflix’s official release, Watts will star in the lead role as Jean Holloway, described as “a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives.” Taylor-Johnson will direct the first two episodes from producers Liza Chasin and Lisa Rubin, while Watts will also serve as executive producer to the 2017 series.

In addition to her recent notable roles in the Divergent series, or Demolition alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Watts will also be seen in Showtime’s forthcoming reboot of Twin Peaks. Given the commitment to Gypsy, Watts’ role in the Showtime reboot may not be a sizable one, or one eyed to return for further seasons.

In the meantime, stay tuned for more on Netflix’s Gypsy as it arrives.
