The new run will also follow an African-American family, including Kevin Carroll as new Garvey neighbor and volunteer firefighter John Murphy, his wife Erika (Regina King), and their churchgoing son Michael (Jovan Adepo). Family Matters star Darius McCrary will also recur as Isaac Rayney, a palm reader and childhood friend of John’s.
