New ‘Leftovers’ Final Season Photo Teases a Rapturous Jarden
We’re still waiting The Leftovers Season 3 to deliver a first trailer and a formal premiere date (beyond April), but each successive glimpse gets just a bit closer to the spiritual endgame. You can see as much in a new photo from the final year, as Jarden, Texas has gone seriously downhill since last year’s finale.
A new photo from the final season surfaced (h/t IndieWire), which appears to show Kevin (Justin Theroux) and Nora (Carrie Coon) in the center of a vastly-different Jarden, overrun with believers convinced the seven-year Rapture period is coming to an end. Kevin has obviously returned to the police force (and grown a sweet beard), though we don’t quite have an explanation for those harnesses both are seen wearing.
Meanwhile, The Leftovers Season 3 will take the spring slot vacated by Game of Thrones, with Birdman and Alice: Through the Looking Glass star Lindsay Duncan joining the cast in an unspecified role. Near of the entire Season 2 cast has been confirmed to return for the final year, while the series has also released its additional photos from the final season.
The Leftovers Season 3 should start its promotional departure soon, but what do we make of the latest look?
