Easily the most striking thing about the trailers and posters for Thor: Ragnarok is the COLORS. The MCU is taking a very bold turn (in more ways than one), and we probably have the success of the Guardians of the Galaxy films to thank for allowing a great director like Taika Waititi to come in and shake up Thor’s somewhat bland (but occasionally shiny) world. Take for example this new international poster, which is, for lack of a better phrase, sick as hell.

Yes, okay, the Japanese poster for Thor: Ragnarok still adheres to the typical Marvel format, the requirements of which seem to consistently be “a bunch of characters (or just their heads) stare off into the middle-distance and no one is allowed to gaze in the same direction.” However! In keeping with Waititi’s refreshingly colorful aesthetic, this poster is really eye-catching — thanks in part to Cate Blanchett’s wonderfully wicked Hela lording over the whole thing:

In other Ragnarok news, she may not be included on the poster, but it looks like the return of Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif has finally been confirmed. Via /Film, a Twitter user posted this promo for Alexander’s appearance on an upcoming episode of Talking With Chris Hardwick:

The promo introduces the actress as “Jaimie Alexander from Thor: Ragnarok” — and that’s great news for Lady Sif fans, since Alexander’s return had previously been something of a question mark.

Thor: Ragnarok also stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Tom Hiddleston and Jeff Goldblum, and hits theaters on November 3.
