Peggy Carter has proven an exceptional substitute for Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ while season 2 breaks until March, but Coulson and the team won’t exactly have smooth sailing upon their return. ‘Battlestar Galactica’ boss Edward James Olmos will cause some hefty frakkin’ trouble for the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ in March, but as whom, you ask?

According to Marvel’s official announcement, the erstwhile Adama will take the role of Robert Gonzales, a man who “will have massive repercussions for Director Coulson and his team.” So, you know, there’s that. At the very least, we should remember that Kyle MacLachlan’s “Doctor” turned out to be a pretty major player in jumpstarting Skye and Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ saga, so expect at least some significance to Olmos’ role.

Says Marvel of the casting:

Edward James Olmos brings an amazing gravitas to any role he inhabits, something we knew we needed for Robert Gonzales. When Olmos first appears on our series, everyone will have to take notice–including our favorite Agents.

In addition to picking up with Skye’s “transformation” from midseason finale “What They Become,” The March 3 return of Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will also begin to lay ground for ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultronin some capacity. Might we presume that Edward James Olmos’ Robert Gonzales will prove instrumental in the rise of Ultron, or the reassembly of Earth’s mightiest heroes? Based on wild speculation, we surely might!

Well, what say we all of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’'s latest addition? Give us your predictions for Adama Edward James Olmos’ appearance in the comments!
