Well, we certainly didn't see this coming. 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' has added another name to its lineup: Georges St-Pierre, a UFC and MMA fighter, who joins the cast as villain Batroc the Leaper.

UFC fighters, like professional wrestlers before them, are starting to cross over to the big screen -- Gina Carano, Cung Le, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, and Randy Couture. Now the latest fighter to try his hand at acting is Georges St-Pierre, who just landed a role in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' alongside Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson. Not too shabby.

According to Latino Review, St-Pierre will play the role of Batroc the Leaper, a bad guy with no superhuman abilities, but killer muscles and impeccable athleticism. Batroc is an Olympic-level weightlifter and his incredible leg muscles enable him to leap insane distances, hence the name "Batroc the Leaper." But Batroc is also a bad guy, so he's into stuff like theft and mercenary work, and he can speak both English and French.

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' is set for a April 4, 2014 release and will pick up where 'The Avengers' left off: following Steve Rogers as he tries to embrace his role as a team member of S.H.I.E.L.D. while also struggling to accept this new, modern world.
