The very first teaser made clear that The Defenders would wield a Stick against Hell’s Kitchen’s Hand-iest problem, and a number of other Marvel Netflix stars have confirmed their return for the team-up series as well. Latest to join The Defenders officially are none other than some of Daredevil’s most conflicted allies, and Jessica Jones’ best friends.

Following earlier announcements of Simone Missick, Deborah Ann Woll, Carrie-Anne Moss, Elden Henson and Eka Darville, The Defenders now confirms that Scott Glenn, Rosario Dawson and Rachael Taylor will reprise their roles as Stick, Claire Temple and Trish Walker, respectively. Stick had the only speaking role in the Comic-Con trailer, while Claire has appeared in every Marvel Netflix series to date, and Taylor was previously seen training for what was believed to be a Defenders role.

The team-up series will be helmed by Daredevil showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, beginning production later this year with Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson. In addition to the return of supporting cast outlined above, Sigourney Weaver has signed on as the main, as-yet-unidentified villain.

We’d guess any number of set photos and cast announcements might come in the next weeks, but how do The Defenders seem to be shaping up so far?
