Barry Allen may be trapped in the Speed Force, but The Flash has new heroes and foes alike. Meet The Thinker, as Comic-Con 2017 announces The 100 alum Neil Sandilands as “the fastest mind alive” and Danny Trejo in a paternal new role. Plus, first trailer!

In addition to the above trailer featuring Iris taking over as the central player of Team Flash (not to mention Caitlin apparently cured of Killer Frost and using Captain Cold’s gun), The Flash made several major announcements at the Season 4 panel. For one, Sandilands will play DC villain Clifford DeVoe, described as “a metahuman with a mega mind who embarks on a season-long battle with The Flash that pits the ‘fastest man alive’ against the ‘fastest mind alive.’ A true genius, he’s devised an intricate plan to fix all that he deems wrong with humanity.”

Not only that, but fan-favorite Trejo will play “Breacher,” a feared bounty hunter from Earth-19 and father to Gypsy (Jessica Camacho). Breacher’s mission is “to prevent any inter-dimensional traveler from threatening life on his planet — especially his daughter’s.” Not enough? Kim Engelbrecht will play DC character “The Mechanic,” described as a highly intelligent engineer who designs devices for Devoe.

Elsewhere of The Flash Season 4, we know that Britne Oldford’s Peek-a-Boo will be back for the October premiere, “The Flash Reborn,” presumably as a challenge for Wally. We’ll also see Jessica Camacho’s Gypsy a bit more often, albeit at the cost of Violett Beane’s Jesse Quick. And hey, did someone say “new costume”?

We’ll hear significantly more in the coming weeks, but what other surprises might The Flash Season 4 bring?
